The Foundation of Equally Created is our values: Equality, Empathy, Education, Environment, and Empowerment.
Alongside our main mission to create accessible childcare for all, we have a focus to cultivate a team of diverse and highly educated early childhood professionals that will set an example for our children. In order to hire the level of staff our children deserve; we have to be able to offer them a living wage as well as benefits for their families.
The vision of our center is "to make early childhood care accessible to ALL", therefore we do not have the same income as for-profit centers. Yet, to keep Equally Created open and running we will need the full tuition amounts to be able to continue to give each child who enters our doors the care they deserve. We feel our unique experience, highly educated teachers, and strong mission will change the landscape of how we see each other and our differences.
An example of how our sliding scale works:
If we have a family that has applied for financial aid and they are only able to pay 40% of tuition that means the balance left is $195/ week; coming out to $780/month; and $10,140/year for the center to make up in fundraising efforts.
